I've had 3 full days working at a new company where I can use my personal Mac to do my day job. I never realised how heavy Windows felt until now.
Well, this is interesting. I've migrated my Weblog to GitHub, added a GitHub automation to submit new posts to my Algolia search index.
The first thing you need to do is to create a JSON file of all your current posts. This JSON will be used to create a search index in Algolia.
I've been adding PDF downloads to my writing samples — using Google Drive. I also have been thinking I'd like to add the micro.blog feature of audio posts. A quick search found Embedding Audio Files from Google Drive into HTML. But this didn't work. I think it's a combination of CORS and other authentication blocking from Google. There is however a fix.
Wow. What a ride. I missed one day due to, er, writing a technical test for a job application. I sincerely hope I get it, as it sounds like a perfect fit.

I had the great fortune to be a co-author on an e-book for Microsoft. The book looks at how developers can use the Power Platform alongside business users to quickly create Apps that meet real business needs.
I've had the chance to write in AsciiDoc in IntelliJ IDEA. I was impressed by IntelliJ's onboarding experience. After installing the app, you can choose to go through a guided tour of the UI. The AsciiDoctor plugin was great as well, providing syntax help and exporting the docs as a PDF.
My Mum's been taken to hospital. She's got a severe case of diarrhoea and was dangerously dehydrated. The problem is: I'm four hours away by car and don't think being there can help her.
